Professional Public Speaker
Training i.D.E.A. was founded by retired Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) Warren Rivera of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) after serving the Federal Government for over thirty years. As an agent working the streets in Los Angeles, he witnessed the overwhelming and increasing importation of cocaine from South America and heroin from Southeast Asia and Mexico. From Los Angeles to South America, he served the DEA in six different duty stations throughout the U.S. and abroad, and learned that one of our biggest problems in the U.S. is the illegal diversion of pharmaceuticals. Pharmaceutical and synthetic drug abuse have risen to unprecedented levels in our country, particularly among the younger generation.
Mr. Rivera supervised a Tactical Diversion Squad (TDS) for several years until he was promoted to the position of ASAC over the TDS, as well as other enforcement groups and DEA Task Forces. Throughout his DEA career, he provided extensive and in-depth training on various topics at the DEA Academy in Quantico, Virginia and to Federal, State and local authorities throughout the country. He also trained DEA Registrants and medical professionals on topics related to the DEA Mission.
Mr. Rivera served the DEA as a Public Information Officer and as a Demand Reduction Coordinator. He represented the DEA to the press and at numerous public speaking engagements and training events. Mr. Rivera's speaking experience gives Training i.D.E.A an edge when engaging audiences during events and presentations. Presentations provided by Warren Rivera are conducted by an experienced and proficient speaker who has mastered the ability to entertain while he educates, helping to ensure that information provided is understood and retained by those in the audience, regardless of their medical, law enforcement, or educational background.
Mr. Rivera has a Bachelor’s Degree with Concentration in Criminal Justice from the University of New Orleans and a Master's Degree in Organizational Management.
